Pastor Joe Shutts & Family

Meet The Pastor:

As the founding Pastor of New Freedom Church, Joe has a dual passion to reach the unchurched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and disciple believers in all aspects of their Christian walk.  After graduating from Lebanon High School in 1997, he enrolled at World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, Ohio where he earned a Degree in Pastoral Leadership.

Immediately after college, Joe entered into the retail side of the Automobile Industry in the area of Finance and Insurance and went on to manage several departments in the sales area of the business as well. It is evident that his valuable experience in business and management helps in the unique way in which he is able to apply God’s Word in a practical and meaningful manner.

After working full time in the marketplace for more than ten years, the call to full time ministry came late in 2006 and New Freedom Church was birthed. Since that first Bible study held in a small rented chapel, NFC has grown and prospered at the direction of the Lord.  

Pastor Joe has been married to his high school sweetheart, Holly, for ten years. Together as partners in marriage and ministry, Joe and Holly serve side by side as a team for the Lord’s work. They have two children, their son Carson and daughter Cadynn. The Shutts family currently lives just outside Lebanon in the town of Waynesville.
